THE TREATMENT OF THRUSH
Most importantly, the afflicted areas around the frog should first be properly trimmed by the farrier.
Then, spread ECALYTE © extensively on and around the frog. Above all, however, apply thoroughly in the clefts, using the nozzle. If necessary, apply in the clefts with ECALYTE-soaked cotton wool. Repeat the application 2 - 3 times on the same day, preferably in the morning, at midday and in the evening. The horse should stand on a clean, dry surface during treatment.
Ordinarily, the frog is already clean and dry after the first application. We recommend, however, three applications within 24 hours. Afterwards, what remains in the bottle can be used prophylactically over the following 3 - 8 weeks.
As mentioned, ECALYTE © is a metastable water fraction, i.e. an intentional and controlled compound of several electro-chemically dissociated water products. The solution, bottled in polyethylene, stored away from the light and unopened, has an almost unlimited lifetime, i.e. the microbicidity, the effectiveness against micro-organisms, remains completely effective for years.
It was, however, our goal to develop a product absolutely harmless for humans, animals and environment that binds again with the water products or oxygen in contact with water and/or normal breathing air (so-called recombination) and thus leaves behind no damaging substances. From this, it follows that ECALYTE © in the 250ml bottle is designed for a liberal single treatment, which, as a rule, is also completely adequate. The rest of the bottle should be used up as prophylactic follow-up treatment in 6 - 8 weeks in order to allow the frog the time to recuperate without a renewed infection.
